Early Life and Education
Victoria Jackson was born in Miami, Florida. Her mother’s name is Marlene Esther Blackstad. Likewise, her father’s name is James McCaslin Jackson. James was a gym coach who trained his daughter, Victoria, in gymnastics from age 5 to 18.
Jackson attended Florida Bible College after completing her high school education. However, she later transferred to Furman University, Greenville, South Carolina. She joined Furman University after receiving a gymnastics scholarship. In her senior year, Jackson transferred to Auburn University. A theatre major, Jackson dropped out of college in order to pursue an acting career. However, after many years, Jackson chose to gain her college degree after all. She joined Palm Beach Atlantic University in the 2000s and graduated with a theatre degree.
Victoria Jackson Career
In 1981, Jackson moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. She used to work various day jobs to support herself while performing as a stand-up comedian in many clubs during the night. During her struggle period, Jackson appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, where she performed a headstand and recited poetry simultaneously. After her first appearance on the show, Jackson went on to appear 20 times in the coming years.
In addition, Jackson was also a part of the TV series called Half Nelson. Although she did not receive much recognition for her role, Victoria Jackson’s big break came in 1985 when she was offered to audition for the cast of SNL. She became a part of the show in 1986 after sending a tape of herself impersonating different people to SNL’s Lorne Michaels.
During her time at SNL, Jackson was known for her frequent appearances on the show’s weekly Weekend Update segment. Jackson often played the role of an inattentive correspondent who would also perform backbends and handstands on the desk. Likewise, Jackson gained fame for her impersonations of Roseanne Barr, Sally Struthers, and Zsa Zsa Gabor.
Following her SNL stint, Victoria Jackson’s popularity continued to rise. She was cast in many films, including Baby Boom, Family Business, and I Love You to Death. In 1992, Jackson quit Saturday Night Live to focus on her acting career. However, most of her films after this were unsuccessful. In 1994, Jackson appeared in Heat of the Night. In 2000, she played a small role in an episode of The X-Files and had a regular role in the sitcom Strip Mall.

Relationships and dating history
In 1984, Victoria Jackson got married to magician Nisan Mark Eventoff. They welcomed their daughter Scarlet Eventoff in 1986. Seven years after their wedding, Jackson and Eventoff called it quits. Their divorce was finalized in 1991. Shortly after her divorce, Jackson fell in love with her high school sweetheart, Paul Wessel. They got married and welcomed their daughter Aubrey Wessel in 1994.
