He became interested in the javelin after observing some javelin throwers at Panipat’s Shivaji Stadium and became drawn to the sport. He then went to the adjacent Panipat Sports Authority of India (SAI) facility, where in the winter of 2010, javelin thrower Jaiveer Choudhary discovered his early promise.
