Faly Rakotohavana is a Malagasy-American actor who played Matteo in the 2020 Disney+ sci-fi superhero movie Secret Society of Second-Born Royals.

Born in Madagascar, Faly moved to the US aged six and resides in Woodland Hills in Los Angeles, California.

The 20-year-old has already acted in several movies and television series. 

Faly was seen as Riley in the 2018 horror anthology movie Nightmare Cinema. He was also seen in series such as Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn, and Raven’s Home.

Recently, the Madagascar-born actor portrayed a significant role in the Hulu original series, Unprisoned as Kerry Washington’s character Paige’s son, Finn.

Faly Rakotohavana parents are Kari Lynn Shattenberg and Noe Wilfried Rakotohavana.

The actor was born in Madagascar on April 26, 2003, to an American mother and a Malagasy father.

Noe and Kari lived in Madagascar for some years but moved to the United States when Faly was six years old.

The Rakotohavana family resided in Pheonix, Arizona, and then moved to Midland, Texas, before settling in Los Angeles, California.

His father, Noe Wilfried, is from Mahabibo, Mahajanga, Madagascar. He is a self-employed businessman who owns NWR Transportation and FBR & Company. 

His mother, Kari Lynn Shattenberg, is a homemaker who also works as the secretary of the family business at FBR & Company.

Unlike her husband, Noe, Kari rarely comes to the limelight and has maintained a distance from the media spotlight.

Faly Rakotohavana is a Malagasy-American actor best known for portraying Matteo in the Disney+ movie Secret Society of Second-Born Royals.

Besides acting, Rakotohavana is a musician who likes to play the piano, ukulele, and violin. He also enjoys rollerblades and skateboarding.

Faly started acting journey in 2016 as Ben in the short movie Delete The Post.

In an interview with Bello Mag, Fally revealed that he initially had a stutter and took a break from acting for a while before regaining his confidence.
