Lin Wood ( Full name Lucian Lincoln “Lin” Wood Jr)  is an American attorney as well as a conspiracy theorist. He is currently based in Atlanta, Georgia. After he graduated from law school in 1977, Wood started working as a personal injury lawyer,  a role that he played for decades. He mainly focused on medical malpractice litigation.

Later, Wood became a “celebrity lawyer” and specialized in defamation lawsuits. His representation of Richard Jewell was the one that drew media attention. In that scenario, they accused security guards falsely in the 1996 Centennial Olympic Park bombing that occurred in Atlanta. As a result of Wood representing Jewell, he transformed from being a personal injury lawyer to a well-known national defamation lawyer.

When Joe Biden won the presidential election in the U.S, Wood did promote the conspiracy theories on behalf of Trump. He claimed that Trump had won the 70% of the electoral votes. Wood believed that a secret cabal of international communists, Republican officials, and Chinese intelligence had been used to steal the votes from Trump.

In association with  Sidney Powell, Trump’s attorney, Wood litigated on behalf of Trump in so many failed lawsuits. Those lawsuits were meant to prevent the certification of legally cast ballots during the presidential election. During such a case before Judge Linda Parker ( the District Court in Michigan), the Judge suggested that Wood and Powell’s motive for filing the case was to test people’s faith in the democratic process as well as their trust in the U.S government.

Granting the two their requested relief would really harm the public interest. The city of Detroit suggested that Wood and Powell should be referred for disbarment. In late 2020, Wood’s social media posts attracted a lot of attention from the public. Wood asked for Brian Kemp ( Georgia Governor ) and Brad Raffensperger (Secretary of State) to be imprisoned.

He based his case on the conspiracy theory that the two worked with the Chinese to help rig the vote in favor of Biden. In addition, Wood made some allegations against Chief Justice John Roberts reflecting on QAnon conspiracy theories. He suggested that Vice President Mike Pence should face execution by firing squad, Wood also called for the arrest of  Mitch McConnell”then-Senate Majority Leader”  for treason.

Unfortunately,  Judge Karsnitz revoked Wood’s permission to appear before the Court. In his statement of reasons expressed, “no doubt” that Wood’s tweets incited the storming on January 2021 in the United States Capitol. Apart from representing Jewell and Trump, Wood has also represented JonBenét Ramsey’s family as well as  Gary Condit (former U.S. representative) in defamation suits. He also secured a job by Herman Cain (Republican political candidate ) to respond to his allegations of sexual harassment.
