Shortest Marriage! James Murray and his ex-wife, Jeena Vulcano

The impractical Joker married Jeena Vulcano on October 30, 2014. Jeena Vulcano is the sister of Sal Vulcano who is also an Impractical Joker. She appeared in some series of Impractical Jokers too. Everybody was taken by surprise when they announced their marriage. Was it real or just a joke?

It was indeed a real one, and all his family members and friends attended the marriage ceremony. However, the next day James Murray tweeted,

They mutually annulled the marriage after the next day. It was an act of revenge against Sal Vulcano who had punished James Murray with skydiving from a plane and getting a tattoo which was the same punishment. Hence, Marrying his sister was an act of sweet revenge on James Murr’s side.

Before James Murray became a celebrity, he had a normal childhood in Staten Island, New York. He was born on May 1, 1976, to Irish and Italian parents. He attended Monsignor Farrell High School, where he met his future comedy partners Joe Gatto, Brian Quinn, and Sal Vulcano in freshman year. He graduated in 1994. He was interested in comedy and filmmaking from a young age. In 1998, he produced, wrote, and directed a film titled Damned!, which was an alternative retelling of Bible stories. He also went to Georgetown University, where he earned a BA in English. He was always adventurous and curious, which helped him develop his improvisational skills and sense of humor. He reunited with his high school friends after college and formed the comedy troupe The Tenderloins. This was the beginning of his successful career as a comedian and actor.

James Murray Career and rise to prominence of Tenderloins

Long before glory days James and his friends performed improv comedy during high school even though for fun. After college James met Sal Vulcano soon the two reunited with high school friend Joe Gatto and another friend, Mike Boccio. For six months they practiced improv at Joe’s house three days a week. Officially, they formed comedy troupe “Tenderloins” in 1999. Briefly, it also consists Gideon Horowitz who left the group for personal reasons.

The group performed live show years after years but were still limited to internet success. Mike Boccio was out of the group around 2005 subsequently new fourth member Brian “Q” Quinn replaced him in 2006. The big break for the group came in the year 2007  when they entered NBC “It’s Your Show competition” and won $100,000 grand prize for their video “Time Thugs.” It also opened the door for their TV show. At first, their scripted comedy pilot for Spike TV failed to turn into series. Eventually, Tenderloins got their big shot with Tru TV which announced comedy series Impractical Jokers on April 12, 2011. And the rest is history!
