In Season 5 of Selling Sunset, Emma started seeing a Texas-based project developer named Micah McDonald. Micah and Emma met when he was her client on the show. Although she wasn’t accustomed to dating someone she worked with (again), she took a chance on him due to their mutual attraction.

“I usually don’t mix business with pleasure, but Micah’s a little bit different,” she said after their first date. “We had like one or two meetings and I was like, ‘Oh my god.’ Not only is he attractive and successful and confident, but we actually have a lot in common."

Emma and Micah dated throughout Season 5 (which filmed in 2021), but their relationship reportedly ended around 2022. That May, the Netflix star confirmed Today that she was “single and dating” and “open to a relationship.” Though she never said if she and Micah were over, it sounds like she is back on the market.

Season 4 of Selling Sunset heavily focused on Christine Quinn and Emma Hernan's drama over a shared ex. The handsome gentleman they both previously dated was later identified as Peter Cornell, another real estate agent from the Oppenheim Group. He’s currently the director of the sports and entertainment division for the company.

Emma and Peter reportedly got engaged in 2017 and broke up in 2018 on good terms.

A source told Page Six: "There wasn’t any drama, and it just wasn’t a right fit, but they’ve been friends ever since." The relationship ended because they simply “grew apart.” The breakup reportedly went much smoother than Peter’s split from Christine, which Elite Daily shared happened when Christine spotted him with Emma while they were still together!

While Emma and Peter parted ways romantically, Selling Sunset fans hoped they might reunite. Just three months after Season 4 dropped, Emma and Peter were spotted together on Feb. 24, 2022, as seen in photos obtained by E! News. Immediately, fans wondered if the formerly engaged couple were back together. However, a source confirmed to Us Weekly that the pair were not dating.

Several months after their outing, Peter and Emma proved they were still on good terms when they bought a house together in Los Angeles, Calif. While this isn’t the norm for some former couples, the real estate agents agreed the spot was too good to pass up. Emma confirmed the exes weren’t living in the house together, though they’ve discussed it.

“We bought it as an investment property,” Emma explained to Us Weekly in October 2022. “You know, at some point, there was the thought [of] maybe, will we move in together? Will we not? I think I’m very open about where he and I are and don’t always know. I’m very open about where he and I are.”

Emma confessed that her and Peter’s love affair might not be over. She also shared in her October 2022 chat with Us Weekly that the exes have a “complicated” relationship and that her engagement to Peter wasn’t “the right timing.”
